Combine: 1 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoon sugar 6 tablespoon shortening
Heat
through untill shortening is melted.
Let cool to luke warm
Add 2 pkg's yeast
Stir until dissolved
Stir
in flour 2 cups at a time
Beat until smooth
2 more cup's
Place i ngreased bowl cover with damp cloth. Let
rise until doubled about 30 minutes.
Dust hands with flour, pinch off pieces of dough the size of a golf ball.
stretch
each ball into 6 to 8 in circle
Fry 1 at a time in hot cooking oil
When it comes up turn - lightly brown
Drain
on paper towel
Sugar mixture for top
1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon or more if you like.
Sprinkle
on top of fried bread
