Bread Pudding

1 lb. dryed white bread broke into pieces
1 c Raisins or more to taste
1 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Nutmeg I do not use this
8 Large eggs
6 c Milk
1 tb Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cover raisins in hot water and soak (can if you want to).

Combine sugar, cinnamon, salt.

Whisk eggs then gradually whisk in sugar mix.

Whisk in sugar mix, milk, vanilla.

Spread dryed bread in a 13x9 glass baking dish.

Pour egg mix over bread.

I mix in dryed raisins or put on top which ever you want to.

Let stand until bread is soaked and soft from milk.

Bake 50 minutes until top is golden and center is just set.

Let stand at least 10 minutes.
